Earning My Baby Wearing Educator Certification
I am thrilled to share with you all that I am no officially working toward completing my Baby Wearing Educator Certification!
After I complete the Baby Wearing Educator course, I will be able to teach my doula families and parents how to safely and comfortably wear their littles, show them the pros and cons of the different carrier types, discuss the benefits of baby wearing, and hold group meet ups for baby wearing families to gather together.
Baby wearing is such an incredible tool for parents. Being able to safely and comfortably wear my littles in a baby carrier was a game changer for me with my own little ones. This is part of why I am so excited to have to opportunity to become formally educated as a baby wearing educator so I can share my passion for safe baby wearing with other families.
What are the benefits of baby wearing?
As I mentioned before, using a baby carrier to practice baby wearing is an incredibly useful tool for new parents and care givers! Baby wearing has several benefits for both babies and their care givers. A few of these benefits are:
1. Babies who are worn in baby carriers are building their cognitive and social skills by getting to watch their care giver interact with others and perform every day tasks.
2. Wearing your baby instead of laying them in a bouncer or swing can help prevent flat head syndrome.
3. Baby wearing is similar to kangaroo care and can help give premie babies a boost!
