Nurture Oklahoma w/ OKC Birth Photographer, Stephanie Nicole

Nurture Oklahoma started off with a brilliant bang with guest Stephanie Nicole who is a fantastic OKC birth photographer. She was actually the photographer who documented my own home birth in 2020! One of my favorite quotes from Stephanie in this stream was “Home birth is like a sleep over”. As a doula and a parent who has had a home birth, I fully support this message. There is just such a wonderful, supportive, intimate atmosphere at a home birth where the whole birth team and family feel connected in the birth journey. It is really something unique. 

I am so grateful Stephanie came onto the Nurture stream because we were able to discuss some pretty deep conversation topics such as out sourcing as a self employed professional as well as the barriers in place that can prevent people from be able to have the support they need during birth & postpartum.
